The
adventure starts on Saturday, January 27, 2001 when you fly to Bozeman, MT and take the
4X4 Stage to West Yellowstone. Most flights to Bozeman connect through Salt Lake City. The
Bozeman airport is small and friendly with a big fireplace in the lobby. That's where you
will meet the driver from 4X4 Stage who will help load your gear into the van.
The trip from Bozeman to West Yellowstone takes about 2 hours. There is interesting scenery along the way, but you have to keep your eyes open. You'll probably see a few eagles sitting in tree tops, and you'll ride along side the beautiful Gallatin River from "A River Runs Through It" fame. You'll even pass Ted and Jane Turner's spread, but don't expect to be invited in for a buffalo steak dinner.
When you arrive at the hotel in West Yellowstone, check in and relax a little. If you arrive by 6 PM, join the group for dinner.
Before going to bed, be sure to prepare for your departure on Sunday morning. Be sure to pack light for our two nights away from the hotel.
